Ink as the core consumable of inkjet technology not only determines inkjet The quality of the print also determines the shape of the drop and the reliability of the printing system. As a special ink, inkjet inks are required to have stable performance, non-toxicity, no clogging of nozzles, good moisture retention and sprayability, and no corrosive effect on metal objects such as nozzles.

In recent years, the international upsurge in the development of nano-conductive inkjet inks for inkjet printing has arisen. The emergence of conductive inkjet inks has indeed greatly promoted the application of inkjet printing in the electronics industry, providing a highly competitive manufacturing method for RFID antennas and printed circuit boards.

Conductive inkjet inks must have the following characteristics: the particle size is less than one tenth of the diameter of the nozzle to reduce the possibility of clogging the nozzle; the sintering temperature is low to accommodate a variety of substrates; and the non-absorbent substrate has a good run. Wet spreadability to ensure the uniformity and conductivity of the printed lines; low viscosity, in line with the jetting head requirements; high adhesion, low resistivity and so on.

Conductive inkjet inks are mainly classified into silver, copper, and carbon (carbon nanotubes, graphene) depending on the conductive material. Among them, the most researched and most mature application is nano-silver conductive inkjet ink, which has been produced by many companies at home and abroad. Among them, NanoMas' nano silver conductive inkjet ink has a particle size of less than 10 nm and a sintering temperature of 70 to 150 ° C, which is suitable for printing substrates such as PI, PET, and paper. The Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, uses a nano-silver conductive inkjet ink to print a chipless RFID tag antenna that meets the performance requirements of a 13.56MHz high-frequency RFID tag.

Antioxidation is one of the problems in the preparation of copper-based conductive inkjet inks. The Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences uses vitamin C as a reducing agent and modifier. The obtained colloid can be stably stored in the air without being oxidized, which lays a good foundation for further preparation of nano-copper conductive inkjet ink.
